A Personal Word
Before any of that, you should know who is asking.
The first time I walked into the King's Chamber, something happened that I had no language for. My body locked into a frequency that wasn't mine and was also mine. I cried for an hour afterward. I didn't tell anyone for a long time.
I have spent most of my adult life building businesses, raising children, and surviving the kind of loss that strips away every layer of who you thought you were. My wife Kate's death broke me into a version of myself I could not have built any other way. The remembrance that began then has not stopped since.
Egypt is the place that started speaking to me before I had words for what it meant to be spoken to. I have walked her temples more than once. Each time, something in me re-arranges. Each time, I leave more myself.
There is one more thing, and I went back and forth about whether it belongs on a page like this.
The eclipse falls on 2 August 2027. That is the day I turn forty-two.
I worked out what it coincided with long after Egypt had started asking. I'm not going to tell you what it means — for you, or for me. I'll tell you what it did: I stopped treating this as something I was organising, and started treating it as how I intend to spend my forty-second year. That is the only reason there are twelve seats and not thirty.
There is a teaching I was given about birthdays that I have never been able to shake. That the sky was arranged a particular way on the day you were born, and that your birthday is the one day each year you have a clear line back to that arrangement. And that when you stand with someone on their day, you stand inside the same current they do.
I am not going to argue that with you. I am telling you what I was taught, what I believe, and that I would rather not be standing in it alone.
I am bringing this group because the window of August 2027 is too large to walk alone — and because the people being woken up right now need somewhere to land. Somewhere their remembrance is met. Somewhere they can place what is surfacing in the body into stone that already holds it.

This is not a retreat. Nobody is going to teach at you for ten days.
There is no conference room. No whiteboard. No opening circle where you introduce yourself and say what you are working on.
I am not going to stand at the front and transmit for eight hours a day. If that is what you are looking for, there are people who do it better than I do.
What this is: we put you inside specific places, in a specific order, at a specific moment — and then we get far enough out of the way that what happens is yours rather than mine.
The stone does the work. The eclipse does the work. Your body does the work. Ahmed and I hold the container, open the doors, and make sure you are standing in the right place when it matters. That is the whole job.

On 2 August 2027, the longest total solar eclipse of the 21st century will cast six minutes and twenty-two seconds of totality directly over Luxor and the ancient temple corridor of the Upper Nile.
For six minutes and twenty-two seconds, the sun's corona will be visible. The temperature will drop. The wind will still. The birds will fall silent. And the temples — built precisely in this corridor, by people who tracked the heavens with a precision we still can't fully explain — will be standing exactly where they have always stood, waiting.
A total eclipse of this length has not aligned with this corridor in many generations, and will not again in our lifetimes. It is not a coincidence, and it is not a tourist headline. We have built the entire pilgrimage around it.

The Remembrance
The temples are not monuments. They are instruments.
Here is what I have come to know — not from books, not from teachers, but from walking the stone myself: these temples were built as instruments. Granite chambers with acoustic properties people have been measuring and arguing about for a century. Karnak's main axis aligned to a solstice sunrise. Whatever you believe about why, the architecture is doing something, and the body is the thing it was built to do it to.
I am not going to argue the mechanism with you. I stopped trying. What I will tell you is what I have watched happen, more than once, to people who arrived sceptical.
Inside the chamber
The King's Chamber. The Sekhmet Chapel. The Isis Temple at Philae. Sound, breath and stillness, held in stone cut to carry them. What happens in there is different for every person. I have not yet taken anyone in who came out the same.

These come by DM, late, usually after someone has read this page twice. I would rather answer them here than have you sit with them alone.
“What if I feel nothing?”
Then you feel nothing, and that is information rather than failure.
I have watched people wait ten days for lightning and go home irritated. I have also watched the ones who felt nothing in the King's Chamber come apart three weeks later in their own kitchen. The body keeps its own schedule and it is not interested in your itinerary.
What I will promise is that you'll be met either way. Nobody gets left holding a non-experience and pretending otherwise.
“Will I be the odd one out?”
Twelve people, and every one of them is quietly asking the same thing.
The tribe is built by who is in it, which is why we read applications properly and turn people away. What you will not find is a room of people performing spirituality at each other. Most pilgrims are in their mid-thirties to early fifties, have built something in the world, and have arrived at a question their competence cannot answer.
You will not be the odd one out. You may well be the one someone else needed there.
“What if it changes nothing?”
Fair. Most peak experiences don't survive the flight home, and you have probably been to one.
That is exactly why the work does not end at the airport. Three preparation calls before you go, and a held re-entry afterwards, because remembering something in a temple and living differently in your own house are two entirely separate skills.
I cannot promise you transformation. Anyone who does is selling something. I can promise you will not be handed a peak and abandoned at the bottom of it.

The seat finds the soul.
Tell us about you. We read every application personally. Once you've sent it you can book a time to talk straight away — no waiting to hear back. Applying is a request for that conversation, not a commitment to attend. Deposits are only ever taken after we've both confirmed alignment. This may not be the right journey for you, and that's okay.

What the body wants to know.
Is this suitable for beginners?
Yes. While the work is deep, all experience levels are welcome. Ahmed and Kai hold guidance and support throughout. What matters is your willingness to show up — not your history with ceremony.
What level of fitness is required?
Moderate. The journey involves walking through temple sites and over some uneven terrain. Most activities can be adjusted to individual capability. If you can walk 30–60 minutes on uneven ground, you're fine.
How does the deposit and payment work?
A $1,000 deposit secures one of twelve seats and is applied against your total. You have 14 days from the day your deposit clears to change your mind for any reason, or none, and get it back in full — tell us in writing and we refund within 10 business days to the original payment method. After those 14 days the deposit becomes non-refundable, because it stops being a holding fee and goes to work securing dates, sites, the boat and domestic flights, all of which we commit to and pay for long before you travel. The balance is due 15 March 2027. Monthly payment plans are available after the deposit. We accept card or international bank transfer. Most people place their deposit on the call itself.
Are payment plans available?
Yes. After the deposit is placed, we can structure monthly instalments up to the 15 March 2027 balance date. We'll talk through what works for you on the discovery call.
What are the booking terms?
Everything that governs your booking — the price lock, the 14-day cooling-off, the cancellation ladder, seat transfers, insurance requirements and what happens if either side cancels — is set out in full in our Booking Terms & Conditions. You accept them when you place your deposit, never before. Read them first, and raise anything that concerns you on the call.
What is the accommodation quality?
All accommodations are 4 / 5-star hotels and resorts. Twin-share is standard; a private room is available for +$990. The Nile cruise is a private boat, full board, for three nights.
Are meals provided?
Breakfast is included at all hotels, and the Nile cruise includes full board. Other meals are left open so you have flexibility to explore local dining or rest as needed.
Can I extend my stay?
Yes. You can arrange additional nights before or after the journey. Ahmed has trusted local contacts and can recommend extensions — Aswan, the Red Sea, the Western Desert, or a longer Cairo stay.
What should I bring?
Comfortable walking shoes, light and modest clothing for temple visits, sun protection, a reusable water bottle, a journal, and any personal items you work with. A detailed packing guide is sent on confirmation.
Is Egypt safe?
Ahmed was born in Cairo and grew up there. He has been guiding journeys for twenty years and he runs multiple journeys through Egypt every single year. I have travelled Egypt several times myself, most of it with him. The corridor we walk — Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and the Nile between them — is the most travelled and most protected part of the country. We move in private vehicles with drivers Ahmed knows by name. You are never handed to a stranger at an airport. Your safety is what we plan around first, not last. Check your own government's advisory before you book — I would rather you travelled informed than reassured.
Who is with us on the ground?
Ahmed and I are with you for all ten days. Ahmed is not a guide we hired for the week. He is Egyptian, he lives this corridor several times a year, and the private access we have exists because of relationships he has built over two decades. The doors that open for us open because of him. Twelve people means nobody disappears into a crowd — we notice when someone is struggling, because there are only twelve of you.
What happens if something goes wrong?
Ahmed does this several times a year in his own country. He knows which hospitals to use in Cairo, Luxor and Aswan, he has working relationships with local medical providers, and he knows who to call before anyone else would have finished looking it up. That is the honest answer to this question — not a policy document, a person who has handled it before. You carry your own travel insurance covering medical care and cancellation. It is a condition of travel and it protects you; no amount of local knowledge replaces it. Tell us on the discovery call about anything we should know — medication, a condition, a fear. We would rather hold it well than find out on day four.
Do I need vaccinations, and is the food and water safe?
Check with your own doctor about vaccinations — requirements change and yours depend on where you are flying from. On the ground: bottled water throughout, and it is provided. Hotels are 4–5 star. The Nile boat is private and full board. You are not eating from unknown kitchens — Ahmed chooses where we eat.
I'm a woman travelling alone. Is that a problem?
No, and you will not be alone. Twelve people and two facilitators who move together, eat together and stay in the same places for ten days. Egypt asks for modest dress at temple sites — shoulders and knees covered — which is in the packing guide and is a courtesy rather than a restriction.
What if I need to cancel?
Nothing here is hidden until after you have paid. Cancellations take effect the day we receive them in writing, and because our costs are committed progressively, what we can return depends on when you tell us. Within 14 days of your deposit: full refund of the deposit. 15 days after deposit to 30 Sep 2026: deposit retained, any balance paid refunded in full. 1 Oct 2026 to 14 Mar 2027: deposit retained, 50% of any balance paid refunded. From 15 March 2027: no refund, funds are committed to suppliers. No-show, late arrival, early departure or any unused portion: no refund. Before you write off a cancellation, consider transferring instead — up to 1 June 2027 you may pass your seat to someone else, with no transfer fee. Travel insurance covering cancellation is strongly recommended and is a condition of travel.
Is this therapy or treatment?
No. This is a sacred pilgrimage and a personal-growth experience, not therapy, medical care, or a substitute for either. We make no medical or curative claims. If you are navigating an acute physical or mental-health condition, please consult your own practitioner, and tell us on the call so we can hold you well.
What happens after I apply?
You book your call straight away — the calendar is on the next page and you pick a time that suits you. I read your application before we speak, so you are not starting from the beginning. The call runs 30 to 45 minutes. We get to know each other, you ask anything you like, and we both decide whether this is right. If it is, you place your deposit there and then and the Pre-Pilgrimage Activation begins.
